IT'S the PBA All-Star game alright. So it wouldn't really hurt if June Mar Fajardo will veer a lit bit from his comfort zone.

The starting big man of the South squad disclosed about his plan to hoist some threes during Sunday's centerpiece event against the North at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

"Mga five attempts ako sa three-point," said the two-time league MVP Thursday during the formal press conference for the All-Star weekend at the Novotel Gateway Mall.

"All-star naman, e," he added.

To top it all, the 6-foot-11 Cebuano also plans to play the point for a team whose known advantage is its heft and height with the likes of Asi Taulava, Joe Devance, and JR Quinahan joining him in the frontcourt.

"Excited ako na maglaro sa outside," he said. "Malalaki kami, so sana ako ang point guard nila."

Coach Leo Austria has yet to call the team for practice. Fajardo said he's thinking about telling him of his plan once the South team gathers together.

"Yun ang balak," said the soft-spoken giant of San Miguel.
