JUNE Mar Fajardo, as expected, was named Best Player of the Conference after a consistent and dominant showing in the PBA Governors’ Cup.

It was a landslide victory for the San Miguel Beer slotman, who amassed 1134 points after ruling not just the statistical points category(393), but also gaining the most votes from the media (495), players (96), and the league (150).

GlobalPort rising star Terrence Romeo came in far second with 662 points, while SMB sniper Marcio Lassiter finished third with 519.

Fajardo, who won his third BPC award, is also on track to win a second straight MVP plum.

Alaska’s Romeo Travis, on the other hand, edged Arizona Reid for the Best Import award, tallying 1060 points, just 37 points ahead of the Beermen’s reinforcement.
