BARANGAY Ginebra forward Joe Devance pleaded with irate fans to keep calm and orderly amid reports that some of them harassed GlobalPort players outside the Mall of Asia Arena after the heartbreaking loss that knocked the Gin Kings out of the PBA Philippine Cup.

GlobalPort's 84-83 win over Ginebra on Sunday night ended in controversial fashion, after the referees missed calling a five-second violation on Stanley Pringle in the final seconds that could've given the Gin Kings a final stab at the win.

Ginebra fans lingered inside the Mall of Asia Arena after the loss as team officials protested the decision and a video posted by assistant coach Richard Del Rosario on Twitter showed hundreds of them stayed around chanting 'Ginebra, Ginebra' outside the arena as players from both sides made their way out.

Del Rosario's caption read: 'Napasaya namin kayo nung Pasko. Napasaya n'yo naman kami ngayon kahit talo. Maraming salamat po #NSD"

But apparently, the scene did not stay peaceful for long. A tweet by GMA News' Mars Panaligan claimed Ginebra fans booed GlobalPort players and threw coins at Jay Washington's car as he made his way out of the parking area.

Devance, however, was quick to step up, pleading with Ginebra fans to stay calm.

GlobalPort star Terrence Romeo later weighed in, trying to calm rival fans with  dash of humor.
