JIO Jalalon proved he is a two-way player by delivering on both ends for Star in its 99-75 win over NLEX in the PBA Philippine Cup on Wednesday night.

Coming in averaging 12 points in his first two games, the rookie playmaker put up 17 markers on 5-of-8 shooting from the field and 6-of-8 from the foul line in 24 minutes off the bench.

But the Gilas cadet likewise shone on the other end by collecting five steals as he stood at the forefront of the Hotshots’ pesky defense that led to transition and turnover points.

Jalalon said he simply wanted to help his team grab its first win after starting the season with two defeats.
