JERIC Teng has confirmed that he is set to sign a contract with Mahindra, a PBA team in dire need of firepower after losing its first three games in the ongoing Philippine Cup.

Teng, who was part of the Rain or Shine squad that won the Commissioner's Cup title last season but whose contract wasn't renewed in the offseason, bared only a few details are being ironed out in his Mahindra deal.

The former University of Santo Tomas star added that he's been practicing with the Floodbuster and is expected to suit up on Sunday against the defending champions San Miguel Beermen.

"Yung details fina-finalize na lang," he said on Wednesday after watching his brother, Jeron Teng of La Salle, win his second championship in the UAAP at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

"They called me to practice with them. I practiced with them earlier. I think they wanted me to play this Sunday. Yun ang pagkakasabi sa akin."

The 12th overall pick in the 2013 PBA Rookie Draft after an outstanding career at UST, Teng is set to bolster the embattled Floodbuster who recently signed free agent Gary David and Rey Guevarra.
