FORMER TNT import Ivan Johnson is set to voluntarily appear before PBA commissioner Chito Narvasa on Tuesday afternoon, two days after being banned for life from the league.

TNT team manager Virgil Villavicencio told Spin.ph on Monday the initiative to meet with the commissioner came from Johnson, who in turn asked him to relay the message to the league office.

"Kausap ko si Ivan kahapon, galing mismo sa kanya ang idea," said Villavicencio.

Johnson is set to meet with Narvasa at 2 p.m.

Asked about Johnson's agenda, Villavicencio said Johnson wanted to personally apologize and ask for forgiveness from the commissioner for their altercation that led to his lifetime ban.

Villavicencio said the controversial import was also touched by the response from fans to his social media posts apologizing for the incident.

The import, who arrived in the country with his wife and two kids, is set to leave for the US on Friday or Saturday.
