GLOBALPORT suffered a double whammy in its blowout loss to Blackwater on Sunday as Terrence Romeo also suffered a calf injury.

The Batang Pier star hurt his right calf late in the second quarter and stayed in the dugout the entire third quarter, before returning in the fourth period.

Still, Romeo was hobbling as he made his way out of the Big Dome as he politely declined to grant an interview after the game, saying he had to rush to a hospital to get a checkup.

The national team standout finished with 17 points on 6-of-15 shooting and four boards against six turnovers and zero assist in 21 minutes for GlobalPort, which was already without Romeo’s backcourt partner in Stanley Pringle.

Pringle still recovering from an ankle injury.
