Baguio reunites with Guiao at NLEX, Baracael to GlobalPort, Ababou to Phoenix in three-team trade
Cyrus Baguio reunites with Yeng Guiao, his former coach at Red Bull.

ANOTHER veteran is set to reunite with coach Yeng Guiao.

Cyrus Baguio is set to move to NLEX in a three-team trade with Phoenix and GlobalPort on Tuesday.

The Fuel Masters are getting Dylan Ababou from the Batang Pier and the Road Warriors’ 2020 second-round pick in return, while GlobalPort received Mac Baracael from NLEX.

Phoenix team manager Paolo Bugia confirmed the move that was already approved by the Commissioner’s office.

Baguio, who turns 37 on Saturday, played for Phoenix for almost a year after coming in from Alaska at the start of the last Governors’ Cup, now suiting up for a Road Warriors side coached by Guiao, who handled “Skyrus” for nearly six seasons at Red Bull.

The 30-year-old Ababou is playing for his third team this season alone – and sixth overall – after suiting up for Blackwater in this Philippine Cup and GlobalPort early in the Commissioner’s Cup until last week.

Baracael, 32, for his part, leaves the Road Warriors after almost a year and is set to play for his sixth team since his rookie year in 2011.
