EMOTIONS ran high in the aftermath of the Rain or Shine come-from-behind win over Phoenix in the 2017 PBA Commissioner's Cup as Elasto Painters import Shawn Taggart and Fuel Masters assistant coach Nic Belasco almost came to blows after the game.

Eyewitnesses of the incident that took place seconds after the Elasto Painters scored a come-from-behind 96-94 win saw Belasco push Taggart as both teams were about to go to their respective dugouts.

The RoS import retaliated by swinging at the Phoenix deputy coach before cooler heads tried to intervene.

The two were reportedly already trash talking during the game at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

PBA commissioner Chito Narvasa and media bureau chief Willie Marcial were quick to catch up with Belasco, and reminded him to keep his cool.

Narvasa later met Belasco at the Commissioner's Office inside the Big Dome.

Fines are expected to be meted on both parties, although the decision won't be made until Monday next week as the league is set to take a three-day break in observance of the Lenten season.
