GUARD Chris Tiu missed his second straight game with Rain or Shine Friday due to a hamstring injury.

Assistant team manager Jay Legacion said Tiu is being rested by the team in the hope of having him ready for the Elasto Painters’ game against the Star Hotshots on December 18.

The Rain or Shine official also stressed the week-long rest would do good for Tiu as he recovers from the injury that first sidelined him in the team’s game against Ginebra last week.

“Hopefully, he’ll be ready for our next game. But he continues to undergo therapy,” said Legacion, adding the combo guard out of Ateneo remains present in Rain or Shine’s daily practices.

Tiu was in civilian clothes in both games he missed, including a 107-93 whipping of Blackwater in their PBA Philippine Cup showdown at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

He hurriedly left the Big Dome following the team’s win over the Elite – their third in four matches – to attend a wedding.
