ALASKA star Calvin Abueva had a good time ribbing Mahindra playing-coach Manny Pacquiao during the brief time they played against each other late in the first quarter of their PBA Governors Cup game on Wednesday night.

Abueva, who is coming off a one-game suspension, welcomed the newly elected senator back to the PBA by draining two three-pointers right infront of him during Pacquiao's almost three-minute stint on the floor.

Pacquiao entered the game at the 2:59 mark to the wild cheers of fans inside the Smart Araneta Coliseum, replacing Asian import Mashaddy Iman Zandi with the Enforcer trailing 20-16.

Pacquiao had said before the game that he was excited to play against Alaska in his league comeback - and wanted to go up against 'The Beast.'

By the time the quarter was over, the lead had ballooned to 31-23 as Abueva nailed the second of his three-pointers at Pacquiao’s expense, after which the Alaska stalwart gave the eight-time world champion a smile.

Abueva finished the period with eight points - six against the Pacman - on a perfect 3 of 3 shooting from the floor.

Pacquiao went 0 of 1 from the floor in his first game back since the Philippine Cup and first since being elected as Senator in the last national polls.
