JUST one win, that’s all San Miguel Beer needed to get its swagger back.

And now that the team made a breakthrough in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup semifinals series against Rain or Shine, the Beermen are again looking for a 'Bee-racle' just a conference after they did the greatest comeback ever in the history of Asia’s first play-for-pay league.

Forward Arwind Santos said the 104-98 victory pulled off by San Miguel in Game Three rekindled hopes of repeating its feat in the Philippine Cup when the Beermen rallied from a huge 0-3 deficit by sweeping the last four games of the best-of-seven series to claim in the all-Filipino championship.

“Tinintingnan namin yung nangyari sa Alaska, yun ang isa sa kundisyon namin,” said the lanky big man, who had 18 points and seven rebounds in Thursday night’s win when the Beermen played with an all-Filipino roster after import Tyler Wilkerson was given the pink slip by San Miguel management.

“Kung nagawa nga namin siya ng apat na beses na sunod, bakit yung tatlong sunod di namin kaya.”

The former league MVP is among those who raised his game to another level following the exit of fiery import Tyler Wilkerson, who has since been replaced by veteran AZ Reid.

Team insiders said Santos, along with gunner Marcio Lassiter, was among the players Wilkerson reportedly didn’t want to share the floor with since they play almost the same position, and thus, limits his touches.

‘The Spiderman’ refused to talk about the matter, but reading between the lines, it was obvious the former Far Eastern University stalwart is inspired about playing on the court again.

“Sino ba namang player yung binibigay ang kumpiyansa at minuto mo sa paglalaro e, hindi gaganda yung laro,” he stressed.

The confidence back, Santos believes everything is not yet over the Grand Slam-seeking Beermen.

“Naniniwala pa rin kami wala namang imposible basta gugustuhin namin. Nagtitwala kami sa isa’t-isa, naniniwala kami sa Diyos na magagawa namin,” he said.
