Arwind Santos ready to slide back to small forward position in import-laden conference
Coach Leo Austria two years ago said it would be difficult to slide Arwind Santos to the 3 position, but the former MVP is eager to learn. Jerome Ascano

PLAYING limited minutes in the Commissioner’s Cups is nothing new to Arwind Santos, so he tries to make the most of the time on the floor as a backup big man.

He is also trying to expand his arsenal to effectively play small forward.

Time palang nila Arizona Reid e," said Arwind Santos.

Matchup problems have forced Leo Austria to keep the former MVP on the bench in the past few import-laden conferences, but Santos is not complaining.

Now the Beermen have Charles Rhodes as frontcourt partner for Junemar Fajardo this conference, and Santos is glad deliver off the bench, with 12 points and six boards in 20 minutes of action.

So importante yun," he added.

Santos was happy so far with Rhodes’ debut, and the former MVP is hoping the 31-year-old reinforcement can sustain the fine play.
