BLACKWATER badly missed the shooting of gunner Allein Maliksi in a 101-76 blowout against Globalport Friday night in the PBA Philippine Cup.

Team insiders said Maliksi had to go to Australia on a short trip owing to a previous commitment.

Without one of its top scorers, the Elite struggled to find their shots and suffered their worst loss of the conference.

Maliksi, a member of the Gilas pool, is averaging 13.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game in the all-Filipino conference

Blackwater finished the first half going just 33 percent from the floor (15-of-45) and trailed by as many as 26 points, 61-35, late in the second quarter.

The deficit was at its biggest at 85-54 in the final quarter.
