NLEX is wasting no time finding an immediate replacement for import KJ McDaniels.
European league veteran Cameron Clark is set to reinforce the Road Warriors in the PBA Governors Cup playoffs once McDaniels goes back to the US to be with his family.
Flight arrangement is being finalized for the arrival of the 30-year old Clark who is coming off a stint in Germany.
KJ McDaniels is set to leave after helping the Road Warriors move into the top places ahead of the Governors Cup quarterfinals.
McDaniels will be playing his final game for the Road Warriors on Friday against Barangay Ginebra before flying back to the US for some family matter.
The former NBA player visited NLEX Assistant Vice President Ronald Dulatre at his office and made some possible import recommendations.
Unfortunately, most of them are all unavailable.
Eventually, Clark ended up as the team's choice, with the former Oklahoma University player having a quick chat with coach Yeng Guiao when the deal was finally sealed.
"Yes, he's in shape since he just played in Germany," said Dulatre.
Clark apparently, has an open contract with his Germany ballclub, and can entertain offers from other countries any time.
The replacement import already got clearance from his mother team to play in the PBA.
NLEX currently sports a 7-3 record and has a shot at earning one of three remaining twice-to-beat edge in the quarterfinals.
