INITIALLY left out of NLEX’s 15-man roster, veteran Kevin Racal will get the chance to suit up for the Road Warriors in their PBA Commissioner’s Cup after being reactivated from the reserved list.

The 34-year-old Racal takes the place of third year guard Richie Rodger, who was relegated to the Unrestricted Free Agent List (with rights to salary).

Racal wasn’t originally listed as part of NLEX’s 15-man roster which the league released on the eve of the opener of the mid-season conference.

The 6-foot-3 forward was acquired by the Road Warriors along with guard Schonny Winston from Converge for the duo of Javee Mocon and big man Jonnel Policarpio.

The product of Letran played for three seasons with the FiberXers following Converge’s buyout of the entire Alaska franchise. Racal was the first round pick (11th overall) by the Aces in the 2015 draft.

His trade to NLEX made him the final piece from among the former Alaska players acquired by Converge to exit from the franchise.

Comprising the Road Warriors roster aside from Racal and Winston are Robert Bolick, Kevin Alas, JB Bahio, Xyrus Torres, the returning Anthony Semerad, Sidney Onwubere, Enoch Valdez, Dominic Fajardo, Robert Herndon, Matt Nieto, Brandon Ramirez, and rookies LJ Gonzales, and Lorenz Capulong.

NLEX will play Blackwater on Friday in the 5:15 p.m. curtain raiser at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
