NASH Racela is set for a PBA comeback as new head of Blackwater for the league's 45th season.
Racela has yet to officially sign a contract with the franchise but people privy to the negotiations said talks are almost 90 percent done.
If both parties come to terms, Racela could sign with the Elite within the week.
Racela last coached TnT Katropa at the end of the 2018 Commissioner's Cup after the team was swept by San Miguel Beer in the playoffs.
Curiously, the former Far Eastern University head coach was rumored to be taking over the La Salle coaching job before news of his negotiations with Blackwater leaked.
Interim coach Aris Dimaunahan will slide anew as lead assistant after calling the shots for the team the last two conferences.
The entry of Racela, who steered Far Eastern University to the UAAP men's basketball championship in 2014, at Blackwater meant being reunited with former college players Mac Belo, Carl Bryant Cruz, and Mike Tolomia.
He will also teamed up anew with former FEU deputy Gilbert Lao, who's a member of the Blackwater coaching staff.
