MYLES Powell made a promise to Chris Ross shortly after the latter revealed that he is taking a new role as playing assistant coach of San Miguel in the PBA.
On his X/Twitter account, the former Bay Area Dragons import expressed his willingness to play for Ross at San Miguel once he becomes a coach.

“When you coach… you have my word. I’ll put the SMB jersey on for a season,” wrote Powell on his Twitter account.

Ross responded by writing “Powerman and Coach Chris coming to a PBA court in the future.”
Ross revealed during Tuesday’s PBA Media Day that he has been appointed by San Miguel sports director Alfrancis Chua as one of the assistants of Jorge Gallent with the Beermen.
But the nine-time PBA champion and seven-time All-Defensive Team member said he still plans to play two more years before going into coaching fulltime.
