MYLES Powell is day-to-day after suffering a foot injury in practice that forced Bay Area to switch imports entering the PBA Commissioner’s Cup playoffs.
Bay Area coach Brian Goorjian said there is no timetable yet for Powell's recovery.
“He went down in practice about three days ago. A pretty severe foot injury,” said Goorjian. “We tried to settle it, still painful. He had an MRI yesterday. The MRI wasn’t good for today. We are going to keep monitoring his progress and we are going to work on the rehab and see where it takes us.”

“We don’t know at this stage how long it’s going to be. It’s day-by-day,” Goorjian added.
Powell appeared on the bench in support of his team but wearing a boot in his left foot in Bay Area’s 126-96 win over Rain or Shine on Friday.
With Powell injured, Bay Area reinstated Andrew Nicholson, who delivered 32 points in the 30-point victory as the Dragons reached the semifinals where they wait the winner of the series between San Miguel and Converge.
Goorjian said Powell was upset not to suit up in the playoffs.
“But let me tell you, he was really, really devastated because he was so excited to be part of these playoffs and play in front of these fans against this competition. It was really a kick in the gut,” Goorjian said.
If Powell returns to play for Bay Area, Nicholson will no longer be eligible to come back to the Dragons, based on the concession the PBA had with the Dragons in their stint as guest team in the Commissioner’s Cup.
