TALK 'N Text team owner Manny V. Pangilanan is careful not to count the chickens until the eggs are hatched.
Although the Texters are just a win away from a rare three-peat in the PBA Philippine Cup after trouncing Rain or Shine, 89-80, in Game Three on Sunday night, MVP won't count out the courageous Painters.
"Fifty-fifty, always," he told Spin.ph as he made his way out of the Big Dome after the game. "I think they will try their best because Rain or Shine is a good team.
"I think you cannot rule them out. And as they say it ain't over till the fat lady sings. So the fat lady hasn't sung yet so let's wait for that."
The sports patron said the Painters are too good a team to underestimate.
"Rain or Shine, we have to give them credit and they are trying their best so you can't take them for granted," he said.
"Rain or Shine is a very strong team and they have a very good coach, si coach Yeng (Guiao)," he added.
MVP is in no mood to celebrate just yet.
"I'm sure it's something special for them," said MVP of his boys as they look ahead to Game Four on Wednesday. "But they should consider that it's just another game and expect Rain or Shine to come back strong."
