JOSHUA Munzon was the last to leave the Titan Ultra dugout inside the Ninoy Aquino Stadium after what has been another rough night following a 135-98 beatdown from Magnolia in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

Munzon finished with 24 points, four assists and four steals in another solid individual showing for the Giant Risers but that was hardly felt as the Hotshots simply clicked offensively while Titan failed to keep up.

The former top overall pick can only shrug when asked about the game, the answer obvious in what absolutely went wrong for them.

“135 points, there’s no defense. The defense wasn’t there. We also didn’t make shots tonight, that’s how the game went,” Munzon told SPIN.ph.

“Not much we can do about that but I feel like we got decent shots, we just didn’t convert.”

Scenes like this are beginning to look like the norm for the Fil-American wing – with him dropping solid numbers only for his team to absorb yet another blowout loss.

To some, this situation might be frustrating – especially as Munzon has basically seen everyone move around him, from teammates to his coaches and his former franchise – everyone except him.

His former running mate Arvin Tolentino is now in Korea. Calvin Abueva has since been traded to Converge. He then had to play under two different coaches in as many conferences under the Titan Ultra wing.

But the 6’4 guard looks at it from a different perspective.

“It’s my job. At the end of the day. I love my job. I love to play basketball. You have to adapt, in all jobs. No job is gonna be perfect, it’s about adapting to whatever is asked of me,” Munzon said.

“Just trying to do that, trying to contribute on offense and defense and at the same time be a good teammate. Fight through everything with my teammates.”

If there’s frustration on Munzon’s end, he’s certainly not showing it.

“This is just a young team. A lot of inexperienced guys that are only gaining experience as we go. Second conference, new head coach this conference,” he said.

“We’re just figuring it out on the go, taking it game by game. We’re just trying to go every game.”
