JOSHUA Munzon, at the center of several trade deals during the PBA's break in between conferences, is staying put at Titan Ultra where he remains as the team’s main man for the season-ending Governors’ Cup.
The former No. 1 overall pick's deal with the Giant Risers expired last June 30. But with no trade consummated and no new deal reached with Titan Ultra, Munzon's contract was auto-extended until the end of Season 50 just like other players with expiring deals.

Danny Espiritu represented Munzon during the formal signing along with Titan team manager Jessica Arsolon.
The 31-year-old Munzon had been the subject of trade deals at the conclusion of the mid-season Commissioner’s Cup, with San Miguel and TNT among his prominent suitors.
The Fil-Am guard actually, asked Titan management to trade him should they fail to agree on a fresh contract.
The Tropang 5G came the closest to acquiring his services after offering guard Rey Nambatac in a straight, one-on-one trade.
But the Giant Risers balked at the proposal, and instead asked their TNT counterparts to include young big man Henry Galinato to sweeten the pot.
The Tropang 5G rejected the idea and no trade bargaining has been made since then.
The contract extension came on the same day the PBA released the latest Players Cumulative Statistical Points showing Munzon among the Top 10 contenders.
Being the league's top scorer with a 20.6 points average and no. 1 in steal at 2.4 per outing, he landed ninth in the list with a total of 22.3 statistical points.
