MO Tautuaa is keeping his head up as NorthPort's season goes south.
"Rough season, man," the Fil-Tongan big man said after the Batang Pier blew a 23-point lead in a 104-102 loss to TnT KaTropa on Sunday night - their sixth success loss in the 2018 PBA Governors Cup.
“We are just not clicking on all cylinders. We have a good team. You can see it. There are glimpses of it and then we crumble. There are a number of things but I’m not sure, I can’t really put a finger on it,” he added.
Tautuaa, however, is not giving up on NorthPort's season, saying they just need to stay together and keep plugging away.
“When it comes down to it, we just need to stay together and continue to grow as a team,” said Tautuaa, who was one of the bright spots for NorthPort in the loss with 18 points and 14 rebounds.
Aside from Tautuaa, there were a number of players who did well individually for NorthPort, with Stanley Pringle flirting with a triple-double after accumulating 18 points, 12 rebounds, nine assists, three steals, and two blocks. Jonathan Grey scoring 18 points, and Sean Anthony adding 15 points.
Now if only the Batang Pier can get their act together.
“That’s always good. We stepped up but not enough. Either way, there is room for improvement. We just want to continue to improve,” he said.
