MJ GARCIA is in line to make his PBA debut on Friday after being activated by Converge ahead of the game against San Miguel on Friday in the PBA 49th Season Commissioner’s Cup.
Garcia, who was picked in the eighth round at No. 72 overall by Converge in the Season 48 draft, was activated in lieu of Inand Fornilos, making him eligible to play for in the FiberXers’ final game of the elimination round against San Miguel.

Garcia will look to make an impact in the PBA after coming off a title run with the Pampanga Giant Lanterns in 2023 and 2024.
Prior to the Giant Lanterns stint, Garcia was discovered out of Systems Plus College Foundation and played for the Pampanga Delta in the National Basketball League-Pilipinas and the G Lanterns in the Pilipinas Super League.
Garcia will look to contribute in the important game for Converge, which is in a share of the top spot with NorthPort with an 8-3 record and vying for one of the two twice-to-beat incentives in the Commissioner’s Cup quarterfinals.
