MICHAEL Qualls erupted for 53 points as Rain or Shine defeated Meralco, 122-120, in a tune-up game ahead of the PBA Governors’ Cup.
The Elasto Painters’ Facebook page posted highlights of Qualls’ performance that included the go-ahead basket in the ROS win over the Bolts.
Qualls also had six rebounds and three blocks, as per the social media post.

Qualls is one of the returning imports in the PBA, but playing for a new ballclub after previously suiting up for NorthPort during the 2019 Governors’ Cup.
During that stint, Qualls helped the Batang Pier reach the semifinals where they lost to the eventual champion Barangay Ginebra.
Aside from Qualls, NorthPort also had Christian Standhardinger, the recently named Finals MVP of the 2022 Commissioner’s Cup, in that line-up.
