ANTIPOLO CITY - Justin Chua saw it coming.
After being told by Mike Miranda for allegedly undercutting him, the Phoenix big man expected the worst which came in the form of a closed fist delivered on his stomach in the dying seconds of overtime in the Fuel Masters' 93-84 win over TnT Katropa.
Miranda had just scored underneath with 10 seconds to go in the extra period when the incident took place.
The TnT center was caught by officials and was immediately thrown out of the game played at the Ynares Center.
"Sabi niya sa akin nananahod daw ako nung game. E kahit i-review naman yung game wala naman akong ginagawa,: said Chua.
"Kaya inabangan ko na lang. Kasi nung tumira pa lang siya alam ko titirahin niya na ako."
Chua only felt the pain on his body after the game, although there was no serious damage on him.
"Ngayon ko lang na-feel pagtapos. Pero wala naman," he said.
Miranda politely begged off when sought for interview.
The good thing according to Chua was the Fuel Masters won and remained unbeaten in the PBA Philippine Cup.
It was the second straight overtime win in two days for Phoenix.
"Nag learning experiences na kami ng conferences before. Usually pag OT natatalo kami, hindi kami nakaka close ng game," said Chua, who finished with seven points after his career-game in the Fuel Masters' 93-92 win over Meralco.
"At least ngayon nakikitang nag-i-improve na."
