MICHAEL Miranda vowed to continue to live up to his role as an enforcer for NLEX, but will try to minimize his dirty play in the wake of getting his latest penalty.

The Road Warriors slotman has been slapped a P20,000 fine and a one-game suspension for kicking Chris Ross in the groin at the height of NLEX's rally that fell short in their 109-97 loss to San Miguel Beer last Friday.

Asked if he regrets his action, Miranda insisted his emotions simply got the better of him.

"Sakto lang (pagsisisi)," Miranda said after his meeting with league officer in charge Willie Marcial. "Syempre nadala lang rin ako nung laro namin kaya ayun."

Asked if he plans to say sorry to Ross, Miranda was hardly apologetic.

"Hindi ko alam," the former San Sebastian standout said. "Part naman ng game yun. Bahala na sila dun."

That's because he's eager to still be coach Yeng Guiao's enforcer.

"Oo, dapat ano ka pa rin ... dahil sa nangyari, syempre dapat go hard ka pa rin pero siguro wag na lang yung mga cheap shots," Miranda said.
