FROM afar, incoming TnT Katropa import Michael Craig looks like a smaller version of Joshua Smith.
But that's until Craig starts ballin.
TnT's reinforcement for the PBA Governors Cup joined Gilas' practice on Tuesday night to get a feel for the game while the Texters are on a break after losing to SMB in the last Commissioner's Cup Finals.
The wide-bodied 6-5 import wowed some members of the Gilas Pilipinas pool at the Meralco Gym with his aerial acrobatics that included emphatic throwdowns to windmill dunks.
But Craig insisted his focus is on being in the best of shape when he suits up for the Texters in the Governors' Cup campaign kicking off on July 19.
"I just wanted to come out and get some cardio and meet the guys and have a good time," said Craig, who last played for the Samsung Thunders in the Korean Basketball League (KBL).
"These are some of the best players in the league, I just want to come out and try to get the feel for it before the start the season," he added.
Craig has been around long enough to see the Texters lose to the Beermen in the last PBA Finals. He and TNT standby import Mike Myers even got involved in a ringside commotion in one game.
But the Southern Mississippi College standout said he's not motivated by revenge.
"It's not about revenge, it's about going out and playing TnT basketball," he said. "I can't think about that (revenge). We're gonna put the past behind us and focus on the future."
