    Meralco rookie Trevis Jackson cleared of any major injury after practice fall

    MERALCO rookie guard Trevis Jackson suffered no major injury following a hard fall in a team scrimmage on Wednesday.

    Team manager Paolo Trillo said the Fil-Am playmaker got the all clear after a check-up at Medical City where he was rushed shortly after the incident.

    "Trevis' condition has improved from last night. It was a severe case of back muscle spasm," said Trillo in a text message on Thursday.

    Jackson and the Bolts were going through scrimmage when he went down hard at the Meralco gyn floor.

    The rookie complained about throbbing pain in his back and couldn't move on his own.

    After about 20 minutes where he was checked by Meralco's team physician, he was taken out of the gym in a stretcher and taken to hospital.

    Aside from Jackson, also on the Meralco injury list are Mike Tolomia and veterans Cliff Hodge and Ranidel de Ocampo.

    The Bolts are currently preparing for the PBA Governors Cup and the FIBA Asia Champions Cup.
