THE 2022-23 PBA Governors’ Cup will open on Sunday with a doubleheader at the Philsports Arena.
Meralco and Rain or Shine usher in the new conference with a match-up at 4:30 p.m. to be followed by the contest between Converge and NorthPort.

The Governors’ Cup opener comes exactly a week after the Commissioner’s Cup concluded with Barangay Ginebra capturing the title with a Game Seven victory over Bay Area.
The Gin Kings will open their conference on Feb. 5 against Rain or Shine.
For the conference, doubleheaders will be held from Wednesday to Sunday as the league looks to finish the season before the Southeast Asian Games in May.
After the opener, Blackwater faces NLEX at 3 p.m., and TNT goes up against Phoenix Super LPG at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
Terrafirma takes on Converge at 4:30 p.m., and NorthPort collides with Meralco at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 26 at the Philsports Arena.
Action on Friday, Jan. 27 at the Ynares Center in Antipolo will be Phoenix against Blackwater at 3 p.m., and Rain or Shine against TNT at 5:45 p.m.
Meralco faces Terrafirma at 4:30 p.m., and NLEX takes on NorthPort on Saturday, Jan. 28 at the Ynares Center.
Magnolia and San Miguel make their conference debut on Sunday, Jan. 29 at the Ynares Center with the Hotshots facing Converge at 4:30 p.m., and the Beermen clashing against Phoenix Super LPG at 6:45 p.m.
