MERALCO is bracing for the worst as far as import Suleiman Braimoh's health status is concerned.
Coach Luigi Trillo said the team is open to tapping EASL import Zach Lofton or hire another reinforcement if ever Braimoh indeed, suffered a torn Achilles as initially suspected.

Prince Ibeh, the other Meralco import in the EASL, is not eligible to take over since he's over the 6-foot-10 height limit in the PBA Commissioner's Cup.
"Possibility that Zach could be our import, possibility also that we have to bring in another guy," said Trillo during the post-game presser of Meralco's 97-94 win over NLEX at the Philsports Arena on Sunday.
Lofton who stands at 6-foot-4, however would further add to the Bolts' heavy-guard rotation in the opening conference
"We really need a big," Trillo stressed.
Still, Lofton remains under consideration for Meralco.

"We'll have to re-evaluate and get back to our coaching staff. Pag-usapan muna namin kung ano ang dapat naming gawin," said the Meralco coach.
Braimoh, who went down with the injury at the final 3:50 mark of the game which the Bolts won, 97-93, finished with 38 points and eight rebounds in leading the team to a 4-1 record.
Those numbers will definitely be missed by the team, according to Trillo.
"We just feel bad because he's such a good person and he's a perfect fit for our team," he said of the Nigerian-American.
