MERALCO goes for the solo lead in the 2023 PBA Governors’ Cup in its tussle with Terrafirma on Saturday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

The Bolts tangle with the Dyip at 4:30 p.m.

Winners of two straight games, Meralco is in a tie with TNT and Converge going into the contest.

The Bolts defeated NorthPort, 107-102, last Thursday with KJ McDaniels coming up with 31 points and 22 rebounds.

Terrafirma lost its first game of the conference, a 130-115 decision over Converge last Thursday.

A silver lining for the Dyip is the performance of their import Jordan Williams, who had 46 points in his PBA debut.

In the second game, NLEX eyes a second straight win when it faces NorthPort at 6:45 p.m.

The Road Warriors are coming off a 124-102 victory over Blackwater to start the conference on a high note even with the uncertainty of their import situation.

Jonathon Simmons had 32 points for NLEX but is not expected to finish his stint with the Road Warriors this conference as he has a standing offer to play in China.

The Batang Pier have lost two in a row after that defeat against Meralco.
