MERALCO went to Jeff Manday early on before surviving a last-minute charge by TNT, 19-18, to claim another leg title in the PBA 3x3 Third Conference on Tuesday.
Manday came away with 12 points and put the Bolts in command for most of the Leg 3 finals at the Ayala Malls Fairview Terraces.
Manday delivers
His final two points gave his side a 19-14 lead in the final 85 seconds.
But TNT has one more fight left in it.
Minus main man Almond Vosotros, the Triple Giga leaned on Gryann Mendoza and Ping Exciminiano, who racked up four straight points to trim Meralco's lead to a solitary point with 25 seconds left.
The rally however, fell short, as Meralco escaped with its second leg championship this conference worth another P100,000.
Alfred Batino, Joseph Sedurifa, and JJ Manlangit comprised the Meralco roster of coach Patrick Fran.
TNT took home P50,000 for its runner-up finish. Chester Saldua led the team in scoring with eight points.
