MERALCO went to Raymar Jose and Allein Maliksi in the stretch run to pull off a thrilling 103-95 victory over Rain or Shine to close out it's PBA On Tour campaign on a high note on Friday.
Maliksi and Jose combined in a 14-3 closing run to take the fight out of the Jones Cup-bound Elasto Painters.

"This is one game that I am proud of the guys," said Trillo, who mentioned the likes of Jose and even Kyle Pascual as revelations for the Bolts.
"With (Cliff) Hodge, out Toto Jose stepped up."

Jose finished with a double-double of 22 points and 18 rebounds, while serving as spark for that telling homestretch run by converting off an offensive rebound to break a 92-all game.

The veteran gunner finished with 18 points, same with big man Raymond Almazan, who also added 15 rebounds.
The loss by Rain or Shine spoiled the 22-point outing of Belo against his former team.
Leonard Santillan contributed 13 points and six rebounds as the Elasto Painters ended up with an 8-3 record.
