ANTIPOLO – Aldrech Ramos picked the worst time to have an off night as he accepted the blame for Mahindra’s poor second-half showing that led to a 105-82 loss to Meralco in their PBA Governors’ Cup quarterfinals matchup on Saturday.

The Enforcer star contributed only three points after taking just three attempts, scoring his measly output in the first quarter where his team built an eight-point lead, only to give it up after allowing the Bolts to outscore them, 87-56, in the next three quarters.

“Bad game ako. Hindi talaga ako nakatulong,” Ramos admitted. “Kung kalian pa yung playoffs, dun pa sumama yung game ko. Medyo masakit talaga.”

“Tina-try ko naman, pero hindi ko alam (bakit ako nag-off night),” he added after hauling down only one rebound and committing two turnovers in 17 minutes as a starter. “May mga ganun talaga siguro.”

Mahindra star point guard LA Revilla also had a rough outing, tallying just three points, three assists, and two boards, and one steal in almost 20 minutes of play.

Ramos had no choice but to stick to the positives in a conference that saw the Enforcer clinch their first-ever postseason appearance.

“Hopefully makaabot ulit ng playoffs at from there, dun na kami mag-set ulit ng goals,” he said, adding he hopes management will keep the team's young core intact.

“Tingin ko kami yung youngest team ngayon at okay naman kami,” he said. “Siguro more on maturity at konting jell pa, maging buo pa kami lahat.”
