LAS VEGAS - The Phoenix Fuel Masters have tapped Jayveous McKinnis as their import for the upcoming PBA Governors' Cup, multiple sources told SPIN.ph.
Bull-strong import
The bull-strong McKinnis is coming off a successful campaign with Apoel Nicosia in the Cyprus League Division 1 play where he averaged 15.6 points, 14.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.8 blocked shots a game.
The 24-year old American spent five years in college between Jackson State and Ole Miss. He played in a total of 135 games and normed 9.1 points and 8.3 rebounds while shooting 60.5 percent from 3.
Listed at 6-7 in the US, McKinnis is expected to arrive in Manila on July 16.
Meanwhile, a source also confirmed that TNT plan on bringing back Rondae Hollis-Jefferson but his return remains uncertain because he is still in Puerto Rico where his team is competing in the playpffs.
