CONVERGE playing assistant coach McJour Luib is slated to miss the entire PBA on Tour due to an injury.
McJour Luib injury update
Head coach Aldin Ayo said Luib suffered a strained plantar fasciitis during their previous contest against Rain or Shine last Sunday that will keep him out during the preseason.
The injury cuts short Luib’s stint, one of the feel-good stories of the ongoing PBA on Tour.
A spite of injuries at Converge and the PBA allowing undrafted players to suit up in the preseason opened up the opportunity for Ayo to put his most trusted deputy in the playing roster last June.
Luib was undrafted in 2016 after he became part of Ayo’s championship team with Letran in the previous year in the NCAA.
Luib has since been with Ayo’s coaching staff, before lacing his playing shoes once again for Converge.
Luib averaged 3.3 points and 3.3 assists in four games with the FiberXers during the PBA on Tour before the injury.
