THE PBA has approved the trade between Rain or Shine and Alaska that sent Maverick Ahanmisi to the Aces for Ping Exciminiano and a first-round pick in 2019.
PBA commissioner Willie Marcial said the league's four-man committee put a stamp of approval on the trade ended Ahanmisi's four-year stay with the Elastopainters.
Ahanmisi has been hounded by injuries and missed the entire Commissioner's Cup.
When healthy though, the University of Minnesota product is one of the premier shooters of Rain or Shine, not to mention a multi-skilled playmaker.

Exciminiano is seen as a good fit for the defense-minded Rain or Shine side of coach Caloy Garcia, being a two-time member of the All-Defensive team.
Rain or Shine can also make good use of the 2019 first-round pick obtained from Alaska, which gives the team three first-round picks in the coming draft.
