BIG men Maurice Shaw and Raymond Almazan are set to join their respective teams inside the PBA bubble on Sunday.
Shaw will get on board Blackwater while Almazan will be reunited with Meralco once they arrive at the Clark Freeport.
The 6-foot- 9 Shaw arrived in the country one week ago from the U.S. and underwent a one-week quarantine before finally reconnecting with the Elite, who have been in the bubble since Tuesday.
Almazan meanwhile, just completed his rehab over the weekend following off-season surgery to repair the lateral meniscus tear in his left knee which he suffered in Game 3 of the Governors Cup finals against Barangay Ginebra last January.
“Tomorrow (Sunday) ang arrival ni Raymond,” confirmed Meralco team manager Paolo Trillo.

“He’s coming on Sunday,” said Blackwater counterpart Jacob Munez. “But as per PBA protocols, need to undergo swab pa pagdating niya sa bubble and he can’t leave his room until lumabas ang result, na hopefully negative naman.”
There’s no doubt though, the presence of the two will augur well with their respective team’s campaign in the Philippine Cup especially with the absence of league regular giants June Mar Fajardo and Greg Slaughter.
“We really need him (dahil) manipis kami sa ilalim,” said Munez of the 35-year-old Fil-Am, selected no. 2 overall by Blackwater in last year’s draft.
The 6-foot-8 Almazan meanwhile, completes the Bolts’ lineup in the bubble and offset the team’s lack of ceiling in the middle - the perennial problem of Meralco in the All-Filipino conference.
