The Fuel Masters have settled for a 15-man roster, with veteran Marvin Hayes and rookie Jeoffrey Javillonar making the final cut, and another freshman, Paolo Javelona, relegated as practice player.
Phoenix made a last-minute move by acquiring center Doug Kramer from GlobalPort for Mick Pennisi on Friday.
“Set na ‘to (lineup),” Phoenix coach Ariel Vanguardia said after their tune-up game against Hong Kong Eastern on Friday.
Matthew Wright and Gelo Alolino are the Fuel Masters’ top rookies, while Willy Wilson, JC Intal, Cyrus Baguio, Simon Enciso, Chico Lanete, Norbert Torres, John Wilson, Prince Caperal, Mark Borboran, and Michael Miranda are the holdovers.
The Fuel Masters, entering their second year in the league, seek to strengthen their off-court chemistry by holding a three-day team-building session cum training camp at Splendido in Tagaytay starting on Monday.
