BARANGAY Ginebra stars led by Mark Caguioa has expressed support for former import Chris Alexander, who he bared is suffering from an incurable disease called sarcoidosis.
Mark Caguioa has led the call for fans to pray for 'Toothpick' Alexander upon learning about the condition of the former import who led the Gin Kings to their last PBA championship in the 2008 Fiesta Cup.
“One of our beloved ka barangay need us pls lets pray for him Chris "toothpick" Alexander,” wrote Caguioa on his Twitter and Instagram accounts.
According to clevelandclinic.org, sarcoidosis is a disease that affects several organs, particularly the lungs and lymph glands. The cause of the disease is unknown and treatment is on its symptoms and not on the disease itself.
Alexander led Barangay Ginebra to the famous title victory over Air21 in the Fiesta Conference eight years ago, beating the Express in seven games.
Alexander was named Best Import that same conference.
