WHILE debate over the decision to exclude LA Tenorio and Calvin Abueva from the Gilas Pilipinas final roster for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament continues to rage online, Barangay Ginebra star Mark Caguioa fired a tweet that hit close to home.
Days after Gilas coach Tab Baldwin dropped Tenorio and Abueva from his final 12-man lineup, supposedly because he wants the tallest team he can asemble for the July 5-10 event, Caguioa fired a cryptic post on his @officialMC47 account in the micro-blogging site.
The former PBA MVP didn't mention names and we're pretty sure the tweet had nothing to do with the Gilas decision to keep Tenorio, by the way his teammate at Ginebra, and Abueva out of the Gilas 12.
We're sure you'll agree, too (lol).
"I'll take Heart over height anytime," said Caguioa on his tweet. "Dapat palitan na yung hashtag, wag ng puso kundi #height," he ended his burning tweet, throwing shade at Gilas's battlecry #puso.
As of this posting, Caguioa's tweet already had 572 retweets and 960 likes.
Here's the tweet as is:
