The 41-year-old Elliott has been appointed to replace Garrett Kelly, who has been named as the team's director of player development.

The change came after the guest team's flat start in the PBA 50th Season Commissioner's Cup where the Black Knights went 0-3 under Kelly.
Elliott may be familiar to some Filipino basketball fans.
Elliott, who played college ball with Northwestern Florida State and Louisiana Tech, had stints with some ASEAN Basketball League teams, including Hong Kong Eastern from 2016 to 2019.

There, he became teammates with former PBA player Christian Standhardinger, who played for Hong Kong Eastern from 2017 to 2018 before becoming the No. 1 pick in the 2017 PBA Draft by San Miguel.
Elliott, a former ABL MVP, coaches his first PBA game on Saturday in Macau's game against Magnolia.
