MARCIO Lassiter was benched in the first half of a heated Game 3 between San Miguel and Phoenix in their 2019 PBA Philippine Cup semifinal series on Sunday.
The sweet-shooting sniper was kept on the sidelines, with Beermen coaches disclosing that he's suffering from back pain.
When asked if he'll see action, Lassiter was non-committal.
"I don't know. You have to ask them," he told Spin.ph as he referred questions to head coach Leo Austria and his staff.
Lassiter played impressively in the first two games, averaging 19.0 points on 31-percent shooting from threes, on top of 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
Phoenix won the game, 92-90, to trim SMB's lead to 2-1 in the best-of-seven series.
