DON'T expect Marc Pingris to make his season debut in the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup Finals.
The 37-year-old forward reiterated that he won't force the issue in terms of his return from a torn left ACL.
"Hindi," he curtly replied at the end of the finals press conference between Magnolia and San Miguel on Monday at Sambokojin in Libis.
Pingris has been out since March last year when injured his knee in the Hotshots' semifinal clash against NLEX.
He has shown signs of progress and was even voted to play in the 2019 PBA All-Star Game in Calasiao in his home province of Pangasinan, but he eventually begged off.
Pingris has also made his presence on the Magnolia bench all conference, fulfilling his role as the team's vocal leader.
This will be the second straight time the Pozzorubio, Pangasinan native will miss the best-of-seven all-Filipino title clash between the Hotshots and the Beermen, with the former eyeing to halt the latter's fifth straight championship aspirations.
