MARC Pingris heaved a sigh of relief after learning his dad and his extended family in France was safe from the horrific terrorist attacks that hit Paris last week.
The Filipino-French forward’s father, Jean Marc Sr., lives in France along with stepmother Francoise, and half-brother Maxime.
“Nung tumawag ako nung una, okay naman daw sila,” Pingris said in short chat with Spin.ph on Saturday after Star’s 87-83 loss to Meralco.
The Hotshots forward, though, added that a friend of his half-brother attended the concert where some of the attackers killed gunned down several people and injured dozens of others in the French capital.
Pingris said he was in Lucena when he heard the news, a day before the Hotshots’ game against Talk ‘N Text.
