BRUISING San Mig forward Marc Pingris was quick to admit he lost his cool and focus against Talk `N Text’s Kelly Williams during Game Two of their PLDT myDSL-PBA Philippine Cup quarterfinals series on Friday night at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Mixers badly missed the usual energy Pingris provides them inside the court as the 6-foot-5 Gilas Pilipinas mainstay got caught up complaining to game officials over what he thought were several `non-calls’ that went against him.

“Parang nadala ako sa laro. Kanina kasi, muntik na tuhod ko, pinasukan ako ng paa, pero di ko nakita yun. Eh siyempre, ito ang hanap buhay namin,” said Pingris.

Williams gave Pingris a strong shove after scoring on a driving layup during the second period, to which the San Mig stalwart responded by likewise pushing the one-time league Most Valuable Player.

Both were eventually slapped with a technical foul.

With Game Two over and done with, Pingris said he’d rather move on and focus on the deciding match, hopeful the Mixers can finally close out the series and put an end to the Tropang Texters’ three-year reign in the all-Filipino conference.

“Siguro, focus na lang sa next game at mag-adjust sa laro at sa tawagan na din,” he said. “Nandun pa rin yung puso naming manalo. Hindi kami gi-give up kahit di kami makalamang.”
