MAGNOLIA shoots for a commanding 3-0 lead in the PBA Governors’ Cup Finals against Alaska on Sunday at the Ynares Center.
The Hotshots and the Aces collide at 6:30 p.m.
Magnolia took a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-seven series after beating Alaska, 77-71, on Friday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
Magnolia coach Chito Victolero is guarding against complacency before Game Three as the Hotshots expect a comeback from Alaska.
“We want to prepare for Game Three and ‘yun ang pinakaimportante sa lahat, ‘yung game na ‘yun,” said Victolero. “We don't think na we're up or we don't think na we're down. Ang importante ‘yung mindset namin tama.”
Magnolia is once again expected to lean on Romeo Travis as well as the guards in Paul Lee, Mark Barroca, and Jio Jalalon.
Alaska is also expected to go all out as only one team has come back from a 0-3 deficit in the finals. The lone team was San Miguel when it beat Alaska in the 2016 Philippine Cup.
