MAGNOLIA is keeping the services of its best three-point gunner for the rest of the season and beyond.
The Hotshots management signed Aris Dionisio to a new, three-year contract on Tuesday just before the team begins its PBA Philippine Cup campaign on Saturday against Converge at the historic Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

Dionisio has emerged as the top gunner of Magnolia from long distance after shooting 39.6 percent from three-point range (21-of-53) during the last Commissioner’s Cup, where the Hotshots finished runner-up to the San Miguel Beermen.
His shooting percentage from beyond the arc is ranked No. 6 in the league and relegated star guard Paul Lee to No. 2 for Magnolia from the same distance after submitting 20-of-51 for 39.2 percent accuracy.

Coach Chito Victolero no less was present during the contract signing along with Magnolia liaison officer Reena Dimaculangan Del Mundo and long-time staff Jojo Peralta.
Dionisio was in the company of his representative Danny Espiritu.
The 6-foot-4 Dionisio from Saint Clare College was a first-round pick of Magnolia in the 2019 draft at No. 9 overall.
He came close to sending the last Commissioner’s Cup Finals to a deciding Game 7, but missed on a potential game-winning three pointer that was on line just before the final buzzer.
Dionisio, a former MPBL Mythical Team member and 2019 Defensive Player of the Year, averaged 4.5 points and 2.7 rebounds during the first conference.
