FARR in, Fields out.
Reeling from a 23-point blowout loss to start its PBA Commissioner’s Cup campaign, Magnolia didn’t waste any time and decided to change import John Fields in favor of James Farr.
Listed at 6-foot-10, Farr arrived in the country on Monday and will be available for the Hotshots when they tackle NorthPort Batang Pier on Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
A product of Xavier, the 26-year-old Farr went undrafted in the NBA draft in 2016 and has played in Europe the past three years.
Fields struggled in his first and only game with Magnolia, scoring 12 points on 4-of-11 shooting to go with six rebounds.
He previously played for Columbian Dyip in the same conference last year and is coming off a finals stint with the Singapore Slingers in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) where they lost to the CLS Knights Indonesia.
